Ubillity Product Tour:
Billing Engine

The heart of any great utility billing system is its billing engine. Ubillity provides you with a very powerful, flexible engine that is surprisingly easy to use. It has great functionality and handles all challenges like a pro!

Ubillity starts off with the Bill Run Profile concept, a new way of looking at complex billing algorithms. It puts all the complexity of setup and configuration "behind the scenes" while leaving the billing personnel with the operational tasks of getting the bills out accurately and on time. No more distracting and frustrating screens and questions about functionality that don't pertain to your billing!

Ubillity automatically selects accounts to bill based on one or more of the following:
  • Account local municipality
  • Account type
  • Service billing cycle
  • Service Book/Route
  • Service Utility type
The Ubillity Billing Engine provides you with Upload and Download files for meter reading devices; Download files from third parties; and of course manual entry of readings or usages. Billing personnel can adjust all aspects "on the fly" so as not to hold up a Bill Run, but in case there is a problem, any Bill Run in Ubillity is completely reversible at any step of the way! No more mistakes!

Our Billing Engine uses Word Mail Merge to create your bills, so it's easy to change the bill format. Every bill created is individually stored in each Account record so that bill re-prints and bill reviews are a snap! And, if you want to out-source your bill printing, Ubillity handles that, too!

A complete summary of every Bill Run ever made in Ubillity is forever available for review and reporting, allowing easy comparisons to Bill Runs from this same period from years past.
